Linh Ung Pagoda
The Lady Buddha of Da Nang.
Linh Ung Pagoda (Chùa Linh Ứng) is the most important pagoda in Danang for the Buddhist people to come and pray. Besides an important religious site the Linh Ung Pagoda has become popular with the tourist visiting Danang.
The spiritual site is built on 12 hectares land on the South-East side of the Son Tra Peninsula with stunning views and romantic sunsets.
One of the main attractions to see is the 67m Lady Buddha or Goddess of Mercy statue watching over the local fishermen at sea.
How to get there
The best way to get to the Linh Ung Pagoda is to rent a bike and enjoy a scenic trip to Son Tra. When you are not comfortable to drive a motorbike you can take a taxi for around 200.000 - 300.000 vnd (one way) to bring you there.
The Pagoda is located around 10 km from the center of Danang City.
Around Son Tra
Besides Linh Ung Pagoda there are more things to see and do when paying a visit to the Son Tra Peninsula.
Right next to Linh Ung you find a small museum called Dinh Dong museum with local art and artifacts displayed in a beautiful natural forest garden.
This small museum is just 1 corner before the linh Ung Pagoda entrance.
When driving your self on a motorbike it makes a great trip to drive to the top of Son Tra (Monkey Mountain) or take the road around the Peninsula. You can stop for some swimming on the way and enjoy fresh seafood in one of many small restaurants around. See for more information our page about Son Tra Peninsula Danang
